Working night shifts made eating well difficult. Diets kept failing because the narrator was trying to make good choices while exhausted and hungry. Preparing simple meals on Sundays removed that daily decision and gradually improved their energy, weight and general health.
HealthAfter being told they needed surgery, the narrator kept postponing it for two years. They gradually changed their life around the problem, avoiding stairs, running and anything that might make things worse. Eventually they booked the operation despite being terrified.
